Nine individuals are detained by police in relation to the EC office fire in Ayensuano.

Nine individuals have been taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service in relation to the burning of the Electoral Commission (EC) office in the Eastern Region's Ayensuano.

A number of post-election disruptions have afflicted the area, including this instance. The police conducted a comprehensive investigation before apprehending the individuals, whose identities have not been made public.

With this most recent arrest, there are now 106 people in custody in relation to post-election violence.
