Ebi Bright has lost the Tema Central parliamentary seat to Charles Forson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after a vote recount. The recount was delayed due to the absence of some party representatives, but it eventually resumed, confirming Forson's victory .
Interestingly, Ebi Bright had earlier called for a complete recount of all polling station results, following a court order. She was backed by South Dayi MP Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor and expressed dissatisfaction with the Electoral Commission's decision not to do a full recount .
The NDC representatives even walked out of the collation center in protest, causing a temporary halt. However, the recount resumed, and Forson's victory was confirmed, settling the final outcome .
It's worth noting that Ebi Bright had initially won the Tema Central parliamentary seat with 18,539 votes, beating Charles Forson who garnered 18,421 votes . However, the recount changed the outcome, declaring Forson the winner.
