Kwaku Ansah-Asare, the former Director of the Ghana School of Law, has urged President-elect John Dramani Mahama to prioritize the concerns of all Ghanaians during his administration. Ansah-Asare cautioned Mahama and the NDC to avoid the mistakes that led to the NPP's defeat, emphasizing the need for inclusivity and attention to the needs of the Ghanaian people.
Ansah-Asare advised Mahama to "listen to the voice of the people" and work towards a balance between addressing the needs of the masses and catering to select groups within society. He also endorsed the "didina mindidi" principle, which promotes equal opportunities for all Ghanaians, reflecting the need for inclusive governance.
Ansah-Asare warned that while the NDC's landslide victory provides them with a strong mandate, complacency could lead to setbacks in the future. He expressed concern that if the NDC fails to stay connected with the diverse concerns of Ghanaians, the party could face a backlash similar to that which the NPP encountered, resulting in potential losses in the future.
