Sammy Gyamfi Mocks EC's Re-collation Exercise, Urges NDC Supporters To Ignore It

Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has taken to social media to mock the Electoral Commission's (EC) re-collation exercise. Gyamfi described the exercise as a "cantata" and "NPP-re-collation", implying that it was a sham and a ploy by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to manipulate the election results.

In a Facebook post, Gyamfi urged NDC supporters to ignore the re-collation exercise, stating that they will have the last laugh after January 7. He seemed to be suggesting that the NDC will take legal action or use other means to challenge the election results.

Gyamfi's comments have sparked a heated debate online, with many NDC supporters expressing their anger and frustration over the EC's handling of the election. The NDC has rejected the results of the re-collation exercise, describing it as "illegal, manipulated, and a betrayal of Ghana's democratic principles".

The re-collation exercise was conducted in nine disputed constituencies, including Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Ahafo Ano South West, Ahafo Ano North, and Obuasi East, among others. The EC's decision to re-collate results came after a court order, which also instructed the Inspector-General of Police to ensure adequate security at the collation centers.

The NPP has won seven out of the nine outstanding constituencies, with the re-collation of Dome-Kwabenya and Ablekuma North suspended. The outcome of the re-collation exercise has heightened tensions in the country, with many Ghanaians expressing concerns about the integrity of the electoral process.
