Eunice Adjei Champions Collaboration at 2024 Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit

Eunice Adjei, a leading advocate for women's empowerment, has called for greater collaboration among female entrepreneurs to drive innovation and economic growth at the 2024 Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit.

The 2024 edition of the Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit (GWES) successfully concluded at the Accra Digital Centre, leaving participants inspired and equipped to elevate their entrepreneurial ventures.

With the theme “Redefining Prosperity to Enhance Productivity,” the event attracted a diverse group of women business owners, offering them a platform to network, learn, and grow. Eunice Adjei, the National Project Coordinator of the WeRise Network and a key speaker at the summit, emphasized the importance of fostering collaborations and learning from seasoned experts.

“I am excited to see this summit bring together women entrepreneurs to build formidable relationships and acquire knowledge that will help them incorporate best practices into their daily operations and scale their businesses,” Ms. Adjei stated.

This marks the third edition of the GWES, following its inaugural event in 2022, which coincided with the launch of the WeRise Network—a platform dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs in Ghana. The next edition is set to take place in two years.

This year’s summit featured a variety of sessions, including masterclasses and panel discussions addressing key topics such as financing and business sustainability. Representatives from Hollard Insurance, GCB Bank, and Absa Bank shared insights on navigating the financial landscape to drive business growth.

One of the highlights of the event was a panel discussion under the theme “She Stories: Our Youth, Our Success,” moderated by Yvonne Jacy Akoma Boaten, CEO of The Optimist Club. This session explored the journeys of successful women entrepreneurs, emphasizing the role of mentorship and strategic partnerships in fostering the next generation of female business leaders.

Reflecting on the summit’s impact, Ms. Adjei noted the growing influence of the WeRise Network and its commitment to championing women’s entrepreneurship in Ghana. She added that last month’s Market Queens Summit Edition had set the stage for this event, further solidifying the network's role in empowering women across diverse sectors.

As the summit concluded, participants expressed optimism about the future of women-led businesses in Ghana. The 2024 GWES not only celebrated their achievements but also equipped them with the tools to redefine prosperity and enhance productivity in their respective fields.
