Prophet Kofi Oduro, the creator and head of Alabaster International Ministry, has harshly condemned President Akufo-Addo, referring to him as the worst leader in Ghana's Fourth Republic.
Prophet Oduro expressed his dissatisfaction with the president in a speech to his congregation on Sunday, November 17, 2024, saying that he trusted Akufo-Addo above all others when he was opposed. He acknowledged that he used to vehemently protect the president and would become enraged if someone made disparaging remarks about him. He did lament, though, that Akufo-Addo has not delivered on his pledges to "One District, One Factory," "One Village, One Dam," and "One Constituency, One Million Dollars." Prophet Oduro claims that the president is the worst Ghana has had in the Fourth Republic as a result of his broken promises.
Prophet Oduro also spoke to churchgoers who had stopped going to services because of the challenging economic climate in the nation during his lecture. He cautioned them that they could face spiritual repercussions, such as going to hell, if they did not go back to church. His larger criticism of the Akufo-Addo-led administration, which he feels has failed the country, includes this message.
Known for his audacious and vivacious preaching, Prophet Oduro frequently denounces social injustices, particularly governmental corruption and immorality. Although some people disagree with his method, he has gained respect for being direct. Ahead of the elections on December 7, Prophet Oduro has not openly endorsed any political candidate, despite his criticism of the administration. His statements continue to provoke discussion; some praise his bravery, while others doubt his direct style.
