Asamoah Gyan urges Ghanaians to back John Mahama's administration.

After the NDC won the general elections in 2024, former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan urged Ghanaians to support President-elect John Dramani Mahama and his administration. With a resounding victory over the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahama returned to power after eight years in opposition. Gyan congratulated the president-elect and asked everyone to put party politics aside and cooperate with the government's initiatives to better the nation. We should assist the government. Let's back whichever government takes office. He warned against unfair business practices that lead to financial hardship, such charging exorbitant prices for items.

Ghana has made a decision. Let's ignore party politics. Focus on governance if your party has won, and as citizens, we must do our share to assist the administration. Gyan emphasized the significance of changing Ghanaians' attitudes and urged them to work together to create a thriving country. We must also alter our mindset. Instead of undermining the incoming administration, let's congratulate them and provide them support. My message is that.

The withdrawal of Asamoah Gyan from politics For a brief period, the former football player entered politics as the chairman of the NPP's 2024 manifesto team's Youth and Sports subcommittee. He once stated that he would like to run alongside Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for vice president. But in September 2024, Gyan declared that he was leaving party politics to concentrate on philanthropy and programs that empower young people.
