Daniel McKorley, popularly known as McDan, is coming under increasing public attention as his financial practices are being investigated by fans and concerned individuals. Following Raymond Archer's nomination to the "Operation Recover All Loot" (ORAL) committee under President-elect John Dramani Mahama, a previous warning from the businessman and investigative journalist reappeared. Archer warned McDan sharply in a July 2023 interview with Radio Gold, saying, "He has to pray his government stays in power forever." The remark came in response to claims of government favoritism because of McDan's well-known positions in resource management, mining, and aviation. Archer asserted that he and other people had to pay for these victories.

They have now come to take advantage of me. With reference to the contentious demolition of his multi-million dollar printing company during the 2020 renovation of the Ghana Trade Fair Center, Archer said, "McDan, he has to pray—you know I don't talk too much, but he has to pray that his government stays in power forever." McDan's detractors have redoubled their demands for openness in his financial transactions since Archer is now a major player in the ORAL committee, which is charged with reclaiming state assets and guaranteeing accountability. The warning's reappearance has heightened public discussion, with many people doubting how political affiliations affect Ghanaian business prospects.

Everyone is watching what happens when the ORAL committee gets started and whether Archer's previous complaints will affect the way that McDan and other people connected to potential state capture are investigated. The most recent demands for accountability have not yet received a response from McDan, who has continuously denied any misconduct.
