John Dramani Mahama's targeted tariffs have drawn criticism from Yaw Nsarkoh, the former executive vice president of Unilever Global Markets. John Dramani Mahama and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) made a social pact with Ghanaians before to being elected president. The previous president, who is currently the president-elect, promised the young people in the aforementioned contract that he would abolish the betting tax within his first ninety days in office. He promised Ghanaians that the e-levy, COVID-19, and emissions levy will be eliminated in addition to the betting tax.
