Matthew Opoku Prempeh: "The parliament should not continue with any business or take up any bills."

During a recent session, NAPO, also known as Matthew Opoku Prempeh, advised the parliament to refrain from taking up any bills or continuing any business at this time.

In his own words

"We shouldn't even bother doing those other things because they have been shown to be incorrect. Why should we take up any bills at this time? The only thing left to do, Mr. Speaker, is to take the vote into consideration and close down; we shouldn't continue with any business here because, as I mentioned earlier, Ghanaians voted for Nkok Nketenkete's resetting agenda. This goes for both social and environmental bills. I believe that the new government should start because we are resetting, and I agree that Ghanaians voted for resetting.

Therefore, in addition to the vote and proceedings, as well as possibly his end-of-service benefits, which he is very interested in, everything else, including the social protection bill, the second and third readings of the bill, is done so that we have enough time to complete article 71 business and vote on it if it is not doing well. Essentially, Matthew Opoku Prempeh stated, "We must take the necessary actions for the good people of Ghana."
