In order to nullify earlier announcements, the High Court has ordered Ghana's Electoral Commission (EC) to recollect and publish the results for the Ablekuma North and Nsawam-Adoagyiri seats. This ruling follows the request for a court order requiring the EC to re-collect results made by six New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidates, who cited irregularities. In order to guarantee that the EC's work is unhindered, the candidates also demanded increased security at collation centers. They drew attention to serious flaws in the collation procedures for Tema Central, Techiman South, and Ahafo Ano North, among other constituencies.

The court rejected the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) effort to get involved in the case because it lacked adequate justification. The results for Ablekuma North, which were announced without compiling data from 62 voting stations, were deemed legally unsatisfactory by presiding judge Joseph Adu Owusu Agyeman. Similar problems occurred at Okaikwei Central, where 31 polling station results were left out. Citing procedural violations and threats to its employees, the EC had already declared the results for constituencies like Dome Kwabenya and Okaikwei Central null and void. Declarations given under pressure would not be upheld, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa said.

Tensions are high ahead of Ghana's 2024 elections because important constituencies like Ablekuma North are still unresolved, despite Suhum, Akwatia, and Fanteakwa North having their recollection completed.
