Okaikwei South: Chaos erupts at St. Theresa’s School over detection of printed ballots

At the Okaikwei South polling station, St. Theresa's School, voting was hampered by confusion and anxiety following the discovery of allegedly phony printed ballots in the custody of a group suspected of being connected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Party supporters and polling officials struggled to keep the peace and ensure transparency during the chaotic event, which took place as the election results were increasingly anticipated.

The people reportedly drove up to the voting station and tried to enter the building, according to witnesses.

Both on-site polling operatives and watchful supporters were suspicious of their actions.

When the group was examined more closely, ballots that seemed to have been pre-marked were discovered.

There have been worries about possible election-related fraud as the alleged phony ballots looked like genuine voting materials.
