The former finance minister of Ghana's wife, Professor Angela Ofori-Atta, is a multifaceted individual.

In Ghana, women are essential to the country's development strategy. Others have just outstanding but silent works, while others are well-known. For this reason, authors must go above and above to highlight the accomplishments of these strong women in order to inspire others to achieve even more.




The numerous projects that Professor Angela Ofori-Atta, the wife of former Ghanaian Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, has completed or is currently working on will be discussed today. She may be considered for an appointment in their new administration by Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and John Dramani Mahama due to her services to the advancement of our beloved country.

1. Learning:

The first is that Professor Angela Ofori-Atta loves to teach. She is an eminent academic. Her writing has influenced many people all around the world. Angela Lamensdorf Ofori-Atta is a clinical psychologist who is currently working at the University of Ghana Medical School in Legon. She became a teacher after graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1992.

Moreover, she founded the Psych Corps. To prepare National Service Psychology Graduates to offer Psychology First Aid to Ghanaian communities, this program was developed in partnership with community psychiatric nurses.

2. Charitable Works:


STAR initiated the Disaster and Humanitarian Relief Project at the University of Ghana's Psychiatry Department, which Prof. Ofori-Atta is also known for leading. This effort is a response to the 2015 Circle Disaster in Accra, Ghana, which claimed almost 300 lives. During an extremely trying period for the entire nation, she led a team of volunteers to empower about 1,000 people in the affected community. She was a leader who embodies a great lot of love and concern for people. In short, the objective was to prevent PTSD and to mitigate the anguish that was expected to continue after the disaster. They received both medical and psychological care from the team in this manner.

Mrs. Ofori-Atta, a humanitarian, educated 10,000 students in different regions about HIV/AIDS. At the Accra Psychiatric Hospital, she also engaged the inmates and refurbished the Children's Ward with the help of a few Dutch volunteers.

3. Company Projects:

Prof. Angela has an active role on the boards of many corporate organizations, such as the Liberian Presidential Center of President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Databank, and the Mental Health Authority. She also holds the position of non-executive director of Enterprise Group Limited.

The Ghana Integrity Initiative, the Center for Democracy and Development, and the Busia Foundation all had boards that Angela served on.

4. The political arena:

Having taught for seven years, she decided to get active in Ghanaian politics. Do you know what? She completed the task perfectly! Deputy Minister for Employment and Manpower Development Angela was appointed. In just two weeks, Prof. Ofori-Atta used the Poverty Reduction Strategy to grow the Stills Training and Employment Placement (STEP) program from 2,000 participants to 30,000.

During that time, she also effectively utilized this government initiative to reduce the youth unemployment rate.
