Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has communicated with Simon Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister. Otumfuo Osei Tutu II commended Simon Osei Mensah for enhancing the Ashanti Region's reputation through a number of infrastructural projects since taking office as minister, according to the most recent Citi FM broadcast.
Otumfuo lavished Osei Mensah with accolades at a recent Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs meeting for his commitment to and humility in serving the area. The minister continued to show respect and made frequent visits to the traditional authorities, Otumfuo remarked. He promised that the leaders will find a method to acknowledge the minister's efforts and urged him to keep up his good work until the conclusion of his tenure.
President Akufo-Addo appointed Simon Osei Mensah as Ashanti Regional Minister in 2017 and again in 2021, making him the only regional minister to hold the position for two terms in recent history. Osei Mensah highlighted some of his accomplishments in a meeting with the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs, including the launch of 1,178 educational projects, of which more than 900 have been finished. In addition, he stated that 28 court buildings and 74 security service stations were being built, with 21 courts already finished.

He was elected to a second and third term. He served as the Bosomtwe constituency's MP. In the fourth, fifth, and sixth parliaments of the fourth Republic of Ghana, he was chosen to represent this constituency.
