A modern amusement and scenic park in Accra has been commissioned by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

Located in the heart of Accra, the Nationalist Park has been renovated in memory of Nii Kwabena Bonnie and Osu Alata Mantse. Under the Akufo-Addo administration, the park's reorganization began in late 2023 and was completed this year. It includes numerous elements that can provide Ghanaians and tourists with opportunities to study, ponder, and be inspired.

Several state executives and representatives from the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture accompanied President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Monday.

The Nationality Park, according to Deputy Minister for Tourism Arts and Culture Mark Okraku Mantey, is a blatant example of President Akufo Addo's resolve to modernize Ghana's infrastructure and tourism destinations.

Akwasi Agyeman, the chief executive officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, expressed gratitude to all the organizations and people that took the initiative to enable the park's renovation.

According to him, Ghana's history—from the execution of three ex-servicemen to independence and democracy—is commemorated in the Nationality Park. "We have reorganized this area and connected it to the 28th February Memorial Park. Today, we honor our heroes, Nii Kwabena Bonnie, Sergent Adjetey, Corporal Attipoe, and Private Odartey Lamptey. It is a place where Ghanaians can come together to reflect on our history and look forward to a better future full of opportunities."

The Nationalist Park has restaurants, coffee shops, restrooms, lighthouse souvenir stores, and a children's playground.
