The Central Regional Police Command has arrested some 130 suspected criminals at Kasoa in a swoop.
The 130 suspected criminals according to the police are behind criminal activities in the area.
They are said to be behind armed robbery, theft, drug peddling and other associated crimes happening in Kasoa.
Guns, knives, cutlasses and substances suspected to be marijuana, 100 mobile phones and accessories and laptops were retrieved from the suspects in the process of arrest.
The suspects who are between the ages 21 and 47 were arrested upon a tip-off from some informants.
The 130, the police say will be subjected to further investigation before putting them before court.
The Kasoa Divisional Commander ACP David Agyeman Adjem who led the operation with support from the other police officers drawn across the region speaking to the media on the operation and subsequent arrest stated they are bent on reducing crime in the area.
He urged the public to volunteer information leading to the arrest of more suspects as the police are committed in making the place uncomfortable for criminals while protecting the identity of the informants.
