Three individuals have been confirmed dead following the collapse of a building in Newtown, a suburb of the Greater Accra Region.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service, in a report carried by UTV Ghana, 20 victims have also been rescued.

The incident occurred after the collapse of the 14-year-old Accra Newtown Experimental School building following heavy rainfall on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
Rescue operations are ongoing, with emergency teams working urgently to ensure that all victims are brought to safety.
Security agencies, including the Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Armed Forces and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), are on the ground to rescue trapped victims.
