Abronye DC has reportedly been rearrested
The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has reportedly been rearrested.
According to a post on Facebook by Adom FM on May 13, 2026, he has been rearrested in connection with an ongoing defamation case at the Accra Circuit Court.
Abronye was initially accused of making alleged defamatory comments against a judge and was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on April 13, 2026.
He was arraigned before the Accra Circuit Court, where the presiding judge remanded him into police custody for two weeks.
He was reportedly flown out of the country over health concerns on April 23, 2026.

However, news broke that he has been picked up again today, May 13, 2026.
Details of his rearrest have not yet been publicly disclosed by the court.
Meanwhile, he is expected to reappear in court on May 27, 2026.
