As He Lies About The Price Of Kenkey In Line With NPP’s Dirty Propaganda

Monitoring Desk Report

It has never been in doubt that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) since 2007 has the biggest of challenges in marketing its flagbearer, Williams Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, whose moral bankruptcy cannot be measured and as well beyond control

In order to make its flagbearer acceptable to be voted for in the December 7, 2012, general election, the NPP, led by its communications machinery has resorted to blackmail and churning out lies, so as to cause disaffection for President John Evans Atta Mills and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in futile effort to sway Ghanaians from making wise decisions in this year’s presidential election. Unable to withstand the public records of His Excellency President John Mills, as compared to its flagberear, a notorious womanizer and a star in the smoking of marijuana according to the Wikileaks, the NPP in its quest to project the image of its leader to a certain standard possibly to be accepted by Ghanaians, has resorted to vile propaganda against government; and attacking the personality of the President, whose integrity and leadership style has won him international approbation. Certainly looking for some breather and to possibly divert public attention from the recent GTV breast-fondling saga involving Nana Addo, the Communications Director of the NPP, Nana Akomea had to adopt politics of lies, with regards to his recent allegation of price increase of maize and that Kenkey is being sold at GH¢1.00.

Seeing this as an opportunity to relief his party’s flagbearer from moral insolvency that led to his breast-fondling mess, Nana Akomea, without due diligence as required of him as such key position holder, in interview with an Accra-based radio station, Radio Gold last week spewed lies.

Surprisingly, soon after his comments, people called into the programme to debunk his claims, giving the price of kenkey as 40Gp and 50Gp, respectively. On the same network on Monday, 27th February, 2012, reports gathered during the morning show, “Power Driver” from various parts of the country revealed, that the prices of kenkey was not GH¢1.00 as Nana Akomea in his vile propaganda and desperation wants Ghanaians to believe.

From Mamprobi, Chorkor, James Town, down to Teshie, it was reported that kenkey was being sold at 40Gp and 50Gp contrary to the price the NPP Communications Director was forcing down the throat of Ghanaians. In some areas, it came to light that kenkey was still selling at 30Gp and 20Gp respectively. At Kyebi, where Akufo-Addo hails from, it was reported that kenkey was selling at 50Gp in spite of the fact that the prices of maize in recent times having shot up, due to poor rains. However, some NPP sympathizers who spoke to this paper on strict condition of anonymity for fear of victimization, expressed anger and disappointment about the action of Nana Akomea, saying his cheap propaganda will only send Nana Addo packing, since Ghanaians are very discerning and will not succumb to such dirty pranks.

The group has also called for the immediate resignation of Nana Akomea as the Communications Director of the party, indicating that allegations being levelled against him as a strong member of the gay family in Ghana, is even a big insult to the party and the flagbearer that he speaks for.

“Already Nana Addo is a huge baggage on our heads with his morally insolvent attitude, particularly, the recent video on all the social networks like face book and YouTube, which has become a major headache for the party in its campaign, so Nana Akomea better check himself or resign “, the furious party members demanded.
