Ghanaian artiste Osei Kwaku Vincent, better known as Strongman Burner, has revealed the significant financial commitment his colleague Kwabena Akwaboah Jr. made for his recent wedding.

He shared that Akwaboah Jnr. invested a substantial amount, over GH¢170,000, to secure the luxurious Kempinski Hotel for the occasion, excluding the catering cost.

Strongman indicated that he was irritated upon noticing that some social media users were criticizing Akwaboah Jnr.'s attire and other aspects of his wedding.

In an interview with Pure FM, which GhanaWeb monitored, Strongman criticized the tendency of some people to scrutinize celebrities' weddings when they are made public.

"It's disheartening when you've put money into a wedding, and then people on social media criticize your outfit. If it were up to me, I'd just sign the legal documents in court and give the money to my wife. For example, Akwaboah Jnr.'s wedding—he spent a lot of money.

"I was really upset when I saw some negative comments about his wedding on social media. Just for Kempinski, he paid over GH¢170,000 without including food. The negative feedback bothered me as his close friend," the rapper commented.

It will be recalled that Akwaboah Jnr. married his partner, Theresa, in a vibrant ceremony at a private venue on Friday, May 3, 2024.

Akwaboah donned a pristine white kaftan, and his bride was resplendent in traditional Kente, both exuding grace and elegance.

Notable guests included the venerable broadcaster Oheneyere Gifty Anti and her spouse, Nana Ansah Kwao IV, both in regal attire.

Additionally, the event was honoured by the renowned Ghanaian actress Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu and her husband, Nana Agyemang Badu, the chief of Kunsu.
