The incessant attacks by Citizen Vigilante is borne out of envy, jealousy and hatred for Former President John Dramani mahama because he was not given another opportunity as running mate of the party’, National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Kofi Adams has said.

He said the attacks on leading members and executives of the party by former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Martin Amidu is nothing short of his sheer hatred for those who took over a position he felt was his.

Reacting to Amidu's recent attacks on the party, Mr Kofi Adams on Accra-based Okay Fm said it is not surprising because he has always nurtured the bitterness in him and decided to be unleashing it on persons who have not wronged him in anyway.

“I think Martin Amidu is just jealous and hates Mahama. He can’t stand the fact that President Mahama has achieved more than him and therefore has resorted to insulting him and accusing him wrongly. He is just bitter that he was denied his dream of becoming a Vice Presidential candidate of the NDC.

“Martin Amidu doesn’t deserve any recognition and needs not to be given any attention and so I will never take him serious because everything he talks about is just borne out of bitterness and jealousy,” he stated.

According to him, Mr Amidu has gained notoriety in fabricating all manner of lies against former President John Dramani Mahama to court disaffection for him but said these will not wash.

On a petition filed against the former Vice Presidential candidate, he stated that the matter will be thoroughly looked into and if found to have flouted portions of the party’s constitution he could be expelled if that is the corresponding sanctions to be applied.
