Former President Jerry John Rawlings has eulogized the late former Vice President of Ghana, Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, describing him as an unsung hero who served Ghana with love and commitment.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Rawlings lauded the late Vice President, who was then the Former Deputy Finance Minister, for rescuing the then Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) from financial challenges.
According to Rawlings, the late Amissah-Arthur’s down-to-earth nature earned him the respect of many Ghanaians.
Former Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur passed away on the 29th of June 2018 at the Airforce Gym during a fitness session.
His mortal remains was laid in state at the foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre for filing past by the general public on Thursday 26th July, with his burial service scheduled for Friday 27th July after which he will be laid to rest.
