Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has shared his thoughts on how the Ghanaian music industry can thrive despite controversies and rivalries among musicians.

Speaking during his visit to the Ghana High Commission in the UK ahead of his highly anticipated concert in August, Shatta Wale noted that artistes should be allowed to have disagreements and rivalries.

According to him, what matters most is that there should be peace after such disputes, adding that competition and rivalry are also part of show business.

“I feel sometimes we don’t get the necessary support as musicians. Artistes can beef, but there should be a time when we celebrate the anniversary of the beef. Stonebwoy and I have a rivalry, but everywhere I go, I want people to know that Stonebwoy is my little brother. I love him so much,” he said.

Speaking further about his long-standing rivalry with Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale suggested that it is time the “Jejereje” hitmaker and those around him viewed industry feuds differently.

According to him, Stonebwoy’s team should help him understand that rivalry and competition are part of entertainment and can eventually lead to bigger opportunities.

“He has a team around him, and I believe they should also try to educate him about what we are doing. This whole agenda people have been talking about could even become a major shutdown event when people see that we are ready to make it happen,” he added.
