The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has descended heavily on renowned legal practitioner, Sam Okudzeto, saying his actions as a lawyer leave much to be desired.
Asiedu Nketia’s attack on Lawyer Okudzeto follows remarks by the legal luminary that the NDC Chief Scribe has unbridled tendency of “running dangerous commentary” about proceedings that usually occur during Supreme Court sittings on the election petition suit filed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Lawyer Okudzeto explained that if the “dangerous commentary” by Mr. Asiedu Nketia is not curbed, a potential danger awaits the nation.
But in a sharp rebuttal, the NDC General Secretary wondered in an interview on Okay FM whether Lawyer Okudzeto has ever listen to the utterances of a pro NPP group, “Let My Vote Count Alliance”.
He rather urged Mr Okudzeto to focus his energy on asking members of his party who have constantly made unsavoury comments about the pending case to pipe-down.
“If my brother, Okudzeto ears and eyes were properly working, I think he would have launched his attack on the "Let My Vote Count" movement after keenly following how they operate.
"I don’t know if he was in this country when his own party members organised a press conference after they had submitted their petition to the Supreme Court....After they had submitted it, they started calling NDC members names and I wonder if he has any conscience at all," he added.
