Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh has officially joined Slovenian side NK Maribor on loan from French Ligue 2 outfit FC Metz.
The loan deal, confirmed by both clubs, will see Tetteh stay with Maribor for the remainder of the 2024/25 season. However, no buy option has been included in the agreement, leaving his long-term future open.
Tetteh’s move comes after a tough season in France, where injuries hindered his progress. He managed just 13 appearances for FC Metz, with only one start, struggling to find form and fitness.
In their statement, FC Metz expressed their support for the Ghanaian forward, wishing him well as he embarks on this new chapter in Slovenia.
"Benjamin Tetteh will not wear the maroon jersey for the 2024-2025 season. The Ghanaian international is leaving FC Metz and joining Maribor on loan," the club confirmed.
Tetteh will aim to reignite his career at NK Maribor, with fans eagerly awaiting his return to form on the field.
