The Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) has joined Ghanaians to mourn former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur who died unexpectedly Friday morning.
In a press statement, the Center described the former vice president as a 'dignified gentleman' who was committed to public service.
"He is recognized as an accomplished public servant who rose through the ranks to become the governor of the Bank of Ghana and subsequently the Vice President. We will continue to remember and honor his collaborative, democracy-loving and highly respected statesmanship," the statement reads.

CDD-GHANA MOURNS THE LOSS OF FORMER VICE PRESIDENT AMISSAH-ARTHUR
The Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) is deeply saddened with the news of the loss of former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, on Friday 29th June, 2018.
We join the people of Ghana to mourn the loss of a dignified gentleman for his great commitment to public service. He is recognized as an accomplished public servant who rose through the ranks to become the governor of the Bank of Ghana and subsequently the Vice President. We will continue to remember and honor his collaborative, democracy-loving and highly respected statesmanship.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the family, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the entire nation. Our heartfelt condolences to all.
