While government remains silent over the source of the controversial 300 million dollar CNTCI loan, various checks by JoyFM continue to draw a blank.
CNTCI owned by a large number of companies mainly Chinese and Hong Kong based is syndicating the loan which government expects to use for various developmental and infrastructural projects.
But finance minister Yaw Osafo Maafo is yet to provide details of the lenders and their stated shareholders as promised at a press conference last Thursday.
JoyFM acting on information available confirmed that the 150 Hammersmith Road- London address given by CNTCI to government did not belong to them.
An audit firm contracted by JoyFM in London later found out that the registered trading office of CNTCI as contained in their registration details is:
Room 2A- 2nd floor, China Supermarket
32-34, Tudor Street
Riverside- Cardiff
CF 116-AH.
While our investigations continue with a focus on Hong Kong to trace the operations office the UK-registered CNTCI, JOYFM?s Matilda Asante visited the China supermarket to seek audience with the management of CNTCI. Matilda says that she visited the China Supermarket and says the place does not look like an investment office.
The office is about 8 feet 10 inch, contains two single chairs, a sofa and a small desk, a computer and a phone. It hasn?t been used since November last year and is rented by a gentleman from Hong Kong.
Though the gentleman does not work in the building, he pays the owners three hundred pounds amount. The owners say they are going to take up the matter up with Scotland Yard Police.
