Claims that I’m intolerant makes nonsense of my life – Akufo-Addo

Disturbing allegations that I do not encourage dissenting views in the New Patriotic Party(NPP) “makes nonsense of my life” if that is the real case, the 2016 flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party has said.

He feels such claims are all part of the anti-Akufo propaganda targeted at tainting his image in his political life.

“How can that be the case? after all that I’ve gone through in the last forty years, I have a problem with dissenting views, the one who repealed the criminal libel law?

” As a lawyer you go to court everyday and you’re opposed by somebody on the other side… you even get judgment that you don’t agree with but you have to swallow it” Nana told host Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Tuesday.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been blamed by elements within the NPP for scheming to remove from office, the duly elected Chairman and General Secretary of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He’s also widely criticised for his role in sidelining people who are deemed critical of his hijacking of the NPP.

But Nana Addo said, beyond what the party leadership sought to guard against in recent times such as poor conducts that was inimical to the growth of the NPP, the party has largely been tolerant to dissenting views.

“the lowest in the party, even the polling station agent have his independent way of doing things” Nana Addo explained.
