Clifford Aboagye to be sidelined for four months

Ghana midfielder Clifford Aboagye is set to face a long spell on the sideline after suffering an injury in Atlas FC 1-0 defeat to Club America in the Liga MX on Saturday.

The 22-year-old was replaced with Luis Enrique Robles in the 86th minute with after landing awkwardly.

Test carried out by Atlas FC medical staff revealed that the silky midfielder has suffered a knee sprain with medial meniscal injury, which requires surgical intervention.

Aboagye has been impressive since rejoining the Rojinegros on loan from Spanish side Granada, having registered three assists in four games.
