Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has cautioned MPs and staff of the legislature house who have tested positive for COVID-19 to stop visiting the house.
The legislator on Friday expressed frustration about how some persons who have tested positive for the virus are defying orders to stay away from the House.
Presenting the business statement before the House Friday the MP asked such persons to stop coming to the House.
The MP further lamented that the affected persons including journalists have defied the communications from the Covid-19 that they should stay away following their positive results.
Meanwhile, the Speaker has hinted he will ban MPs, staff, and journalists who will refuse to avail themselves for another testing for the virus scheduled for next week.
Ghana has recorded 498 new cases of the coronavirus shooting our case count to 10,856.
Meanwhile, some ninety-seven (97) persons who contracted the virus have now recovered, raising the recovery count to 3,921.
Six persons are currently in critical condition and sixteen (16) are also in severe condition.
According to the Ghana Health Service’s latest update, a total of 242,218 tests have so far been conducted.
