Ghana striker David Accam was on the score-sheet for Chicago Fire on Wednesday as they thrashed Montreal Impact 4-1 at the Al Lang Stadium in Tampa Bay.
The Impact was off to an early mishap when Wandrille Lefèvre turned over the ball to Michael de Leeuw who gave a beautiful pass to Accam which resulted in a goal 24 seconds into the game.
The Impact trailed by two in the 15th minute when Accam stepped in front of a pass on the left and then found Nikolic open near the top of the box. Nikolic took a touch and laid it off for Dax McCarty who fired one past the keeper.
In the 18th minute, the game was put far beyond the Impacts reach when Michael Harrington whipped a cross into the box and was headed in by Impact defender Kyle Fisher by mistake.
Accam lasted 61 minutes for Chicago Fire in the friendly till he was replaced by Luis Solignac.
Chicago didn't stop there when Nikolic made it 4-0 in the 64th minute with a perfect shot in the bottom corner of the net.
A handball in the box in the 88th minute gave Piatti a penalty shot, Piatti converted with a beautiful shot past the keeper.
