Michael Kohn, the brother of defender Derrick Arthur Kohn has strongly denied reports claiming his nationality switch to Ghana is incomplete following his omission from Carlos Queiroz’s provisional squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Kohn, who has been a regular stay in the Black Stars in recent months, was notably absent from the 28-man squad announced on Tuesday, sparking widespread speculation over his eligibility status.

However, Michael in a post sighted by GhanaWeb Sports insist all necessary documentation regarding his nationality switch has been completed and submitted, dismissing suggestions that administrative issues influenced the decision.

"Just to clear up the rumors, Derrick's nationality switch is completed!"

"The reasons for his exclusion can only be explained by the Ghana Football Association and Mr. Carlos Queiroz," the post from Michael Kohn sighted by GhanaWeb Sports read.

The defender is yet to make an official public statement, while the Ghana Football Association has also remained silent on the reports surrounding his omission.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars have opened camp in Cardiff ahead of next week’s international friendly against Wales. The team is being taken through training drills by head coach Carlos Queiroz.
