The first episode of new Television talk show, ‘Diplomatic Affairs’ is scheduled to premiere on Metro TV at 6.30 pm on Sunday, January 13.

The 30-minute current affairs and diplomatic talkshow programme will be segmented into news, interviews as well as events from the diplomatic community both locally and internationally.

Hosted by the eloquent Harriet Nartey, the programme appears to be one that will capture audiences keen on international affairs and diplomacy.

It aims at strengthening the bilateral and multilateral relations between Ghana and its development partners through Diplomats.

The show will offer the platform for the ordinary citizen to better understand the role of the Foreign Missions and their contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.

The first episode of Diplomatic Affairs scheduled for next week Sunday on Metro TV will feature the Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, H.E Pedro Luis Despaigne Gonzalez.

H.E Pedro Luis Despaigne Gonzalez in this interview throws more light on the commercial, financial and economic blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States of America, stressing that “Cuba is not afraid of America”.

He says Cuba is ready to go to the negotiation table for a deal that will be in the best interest of its citizens.

The Diplomat also discloses ongoing plans that would see Ghana and Cuba cooperate in various sectors for a mutually beneficial interest to strengthen bilateral relations of both countries.
