Legendary coach Pep Guardiola’s behind-the-scenes actions, especially in the dressing room and his encounters with players during tough moments, have been revealed in a documentary titled “A Beautiful Obsession.”
Produced by Prime Video UK, the documentary highlights fiery moments, including Guardiola’s clash with defender Kyle Walker in a dressing-room row after the club’s defeat to Liverpool in December 2024. He criticised his defenders during the post-match talk for the manner in which some goals were conceded, prompting Walker to react angrily. Guardiola clarified that he had been referring to Joško Gvardiol, insisting Walker had misunderstood his remarks.

The documentary also captures Guardiola’s heated exchange with striker Erling Haaland during the club’s victory over Chelsea in the 2026 FA Cup Final.
At half-time, with the game still goalless, Guardiola delivered a tense team talk, expressing frustration with his players. He specifically clashed with Haaland over what he perceived as the striker’s lack of involvement, despite his aggressive displays in previous matches. The legendary coach demanded that Haaland raise his performance in the second half to justify his decision to bench other players in favor of him.
