This initiative aims to ensure that all eligible voters can obtain replacements
The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced Thursday, May 30, 2024, for the commencement of replacement of lost Voter ID cards ahead of the 2024 polls.
This initiative aims to ensure that all eligible voters who have misplaced their ID cards can obtain replacements in time for upcoming electoral activities.
“Ahead of the replacement of the Voters ID Card slated to start on Thursday 30th May 2024 to Sunday 14th June 2024, the Commission wishes to inform all voters who want to replace their missing Voter ID Cards to make payment for the replacement,” the EC said in a press statement on May 28, 2024.
The EC's statement outlined a payment procedure for the replacement service, where applicants will dial a short code to pay ten Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 10.00.)
Applicants must present the payment reference code to the District Officer to facilitate the replacement process.
