The Edusei has once again shown its commitment to sustainability and for the second time in two years Dr. Kwame Bawuah Edusei and his team stormed the city of East Hartford with a commitment to developing the youth for a better future with an educational workshop. After the premiering Youth Workshop in Hartford in December 2013 the enthusiastic participation of the city’s youth and the community support was strong enough to propel the program through several other cities.

On Saturday May 9th, Dr. Kwame Bawuah Edusei and his family hosted about 150 youth drawn from the community at the Radison Hotel where seasoned specialists took them through practical lectures and one on one encounters on various disciplines ranging from medical, finance, law, business and information technology.

Dr. Miriam Anini-Agyei , a pharmacist by profession took the youth through opportunities in the medical and health professions and encouraged them not to relent in their efforts to go for the best. She also opened up to the youth about certain misconceptions that could dissuade and intimidate them from their chosen carriers to which she strongly admonished them to set them aside and build a positive mental attitude.

Mr. Bill Mangini, the Director of financial aid at the Godwin College who has experience spanning over 36 years in the financial aid administration thoroughly explored potential areas of seeking financial aid. His presentation drew a thunderous applause from the youth.

The workshop gathered more steam when Ms. Yolande Wilson a Yale graduate who works with Pricewaterhouse Coopers [PWC] in US took the participants through business and finance opportunities with resounding response.

There were about fifteen professional intercolators who also worked with the participants during the one on one session

The Youth were thereafter treated to sumptuous meals at a dinner hosted by Dr. Kwame Bawuah Edusei and his family. Ms Claudia Serebour, a member of the program team worked very hard to coordinate the successful workshop. The youth showed their appreciation with many of them recounting what benefits they had derived from the previous youth workshop, and how those benefits had helped them to manage their developmental challenges better.
