Ekumfi Immuna residents boycott elections; invoke curses

Chiefs and people of Ekumfi Immuna in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region have invoked a curse on the Electoral Commission, Security Personnel and anybody who will be at the polling station to vote in Tuesday’s District Assembly’s elections.

According to them, they have voted for 35 years yet they see no development in the Ekumfi Immuna community.

They warn that anybody who will vote should die because the residents have been warned not to cast their ballot because they don’t get any benefit when they vote, adding that they will vote only if they see development in their community especially their roads.

“Our roads are in a very deplorable state yet politicians always come and deceive us so we are not going to vote in the Assembly elections and the 2020 general elections as well. Whoever dares vote will die,” One of the elderly people in the town Kobina Mensah who led the invocation of the curse stated.
