The offices of Atinka FM/TV, a media house in the nation’s capital, Accra, reportedly caught fire on Friday, November 8, 2024.
A video shared on the official Ghana National Fire Service handle showed personnel on the premises of the media house.
A man shooting the video indicated that firefighters from the Circle branch and the Headquarters of the Fire Service were battling the fire.
He mentioned that several people had already been rescued from the media house offices.
“As of now, some people have been rescued. We suspect there might be others still trapped in the studio.
“So, efforts are still being made to rescue them. Officers are gearing up for action,” the man said.
He added that the situation was very volatile.
The video also showed the inside of some of the offices on the premises, which appeared completely burnt.
Information obtained by GhanaWeb indicates that at least three people have been hospitalised after being rescued.
