The Member of Parliament for the Ningo Prampram constituency in the Greater Accra Region Sam Dzata George has tasked his party folks to concentrate on the 2020 election instead of the fake Kwesi Botchwey report making rounds in the public domain.

He added that the on going discussions in the media with regards to the  purported leaked report from Prof. Kwesi Botchwey committee is needless and the energy should rather be focused on strategizing on how to galvanize the party’s base for the task ahead.

‘’As for me, there’s a 2020 election and we MUST begin to think about that and show Ghanaians we have learnt from our errors of the past and why we are the better alternative going forward. Even the dysfunctional government and its operatives are thinking ahead so what excuse do we have? Big men, please stop talking to the media on needless issues and rather focus your energies on thinking up strategies aimed at galvanizing our base for the task ahead," he wrote.

Following the defeat of the National Democratic Congress in the 2016 General elections, the party instituted a 13 member committee chaired by a former Finance Minister under the former president Rawlings’ regime, Prof Kwesi Botchway, to find out what led to the gargantuan defeat of the party.

Portions of the report has made its way into the public domain which has generated discussions on the air waves.

Parts of the leaked report accused former president Mahama of giving too much attention to his two aides, former Communication Minister Dr. Omane Boamah and former Presidential Staffer Stan Dogbe.

Another aspect of the report also revealed that the two strong confidants of the former president also rejected the party’s strategist's advice not to engage in extravagant campaign such as huge bill boards.

Meanwhile, a member of the 13 member committee that investigated the fallout from the 2016 election of the NDC has since asked the public to disregard the fake leaked report.
