Ashanti Regional Minister, Frank Amoakohene, has announced that security personnel have started investigations by reviewing CCTV footage that captured individuals who were involved in vandalising part of the artistic painting at the Asokwa Interchange.

According to a report from citinewsroom.com on Friday, March 27, 2026, the minister said, security chiefs will provide appropriate advice after analysing the footage.

“The review aims to ensure due diligence in identifying and holding accountable those responsible for the act,” Dr Amoakohene told the media during a visit to the project site.

He further urged that the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) should closely monitor the project to safeguard it from future vandalism.

Amoakohene also promised the people of Asokwa that he will improve the lighting at the Asokwa Interchange to curb criminal activities in the area.

He confirmed that he had instructed the Asokwa Police Command to assign at least two security officers to oversee and protect the project site.

The minister urged the public to respect public artworks, describing them as symbols of civic pride and community development.
