The flag bearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Dr Abu Sakara has lamented what he describes as injustices in the system.

According to Nkrumaist flag bearer, the rate at which a few people in society are living at the expense of many is a great worry and it must be reversed.

Speaking at a rally to introduce his running mate to the people of Dormaa in the Brong Ahafo Region, Dr. Sakara stated that “today, we are faced with the most crucial election Ghana has ever had. This is the most important election that Ghana is going to have because it is going to decide our path for the next 50 years.”

“At the advent of independence, we chose the path to be an independent State; we chose to have freedom and justice, we have freedom but do we have justice?” he asked.

The CPP flagbearer added: “What kind of justice do we have when a Policeman who has been guarding duties and standing in the rain works for 27 years and he retires with a pension of only about GHC 24,000? And then a Member of Parliament will go to Parliament for four years and retires with an ex-gratia of GHC 80,000 and go back for another four years. Is that justice?”

On her part, the running mate of the CPP Presidential candidate, Cherita Sarpong Kumankumah who hails from Dormaa, urged the people of the area to honour the CPP by voting massively for the party.

“I am telling all the youth in Dormaa, Wenchi and all Ghanaians that you should vote for the CPP and your future will be secured. We are promising all our mothers that your toils will not be in vain. A vote for the CPP is a vote for a secured future,” she said.
