Ghana midfielder Michael Essien says he's overcome his injury nightmare as he begins his career with Indonesian top-flight side Persib Bandung.
Essien, 34, has endured a frustrating long spells on the sidelines due to the setback.
The Ghana international has signed a one-year deal with the option to extend his stay for a further 12 months at the end of the season.
And the former Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Panathinaikos enforcer says he's overcome the setback.
"Injuries are part of the game and it is gone. Now I do not have the injury problems, I am very fit and excited to play for Persib Bandung." said Essien
