Founder and overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Dr. Mensa Otabil has prophesied that Ghana will soon witness a massive economic turnaround.

?According to him, 2017 is a year where the nation is “leaping forward”, adding that it is going to be a season of greater, bigger and better things.

Delivering a sermon to his congregation on Sunday August 20, the renowned pastor said: “I believe that this nation from this year is leaping forward. The story of this nation will change. It will have a ripple effect over the story of Africa.

“There’ll be great economic growth, great financial growth. It’s going to be bigger, it’s going to be better, it’s going to be greater, it’s going to be massive, it’s going to be beautiful, it’s going to be pleasant.”

The motivational speaker also touched on the recent takeover of the Capital – where he is board chairman, with 3% of the bank’s shares also belonging to the ICGC – saying it was a revenge move orchestrated by the devil.

He insisted that the church had “poked” the eye of the devil with its actions during the Greater Works Conference held last month, saying everything happening must be seen as retaliation from the devil.

“This year’s Greater Works was a point of departure and something huge took place. We poked somebody’s eyes. And when you poke somebody’s eyes, he’ll hit your hand,” Dr. Otabil remarked.

“So what we’re experiencing is the hard-hitting. But the eye has been poked already. I said the eye has been poked already. The eye has been poked already. “We transited and something massive is coming out of it, something massive. It cannot be stopped, it cannot be delayed, it cannot be denied.”

The ICGC founder also prophesied that the best was yet to come for his church members, decreeing that they have “stepped into money”, “into a season of wealth” and “into a season of abundance” and even “the devil cannot stop it.”
