Ghanaian trio Jonathan Mensah, Harrison Afful and Mohammed Abu starred for Columbus Crew in their 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in a preseason friendly at the MAPFRE Stadium on Tuesday morning.
After 13 days away from game action, Columbus Crew returned to the pitch in a pre-season friendly encounter against German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.
Despite playing at a higher level, the Frankfurt were unable to breakdown the Black & Gold, leading to a 1-0 win for the home side.
The home side claimed the victory courtesy Sierra Leonean international Ola Kamara following a great counter attacking move in the 26th minute.
The Ghanaian trio enjoyed full throttle of the match as Gregg Berhalter's side overcame last season’s German Pokal finalist.
