Harry Yaw Oppong, popularly known on social media as Truthmark Tik, a telecommunications engineer and a former UN consultant, has opened up about how his marriage ended just one month after a grand wedding.
In an interview on De God Son TV on YouTube, the social media influencer revealed that although he dated his ex-wife for one and a half years before marriage, the union quickly fell apart due to family interference.
According to Harry, his ex-wife’s father played a major role in the collapse of the marriage by attempting to control him because of his wealth.
“The marriage was good and my ex-wife was not a bad woman. But I think she lacked experience and allowed her father to influence her.
“When we got married, he wanted me to stay in their family house. He also insisted that we manage his hotel at Odorkor Official Town, while I was living at Nyamekye, about a 10-minute drive away. The back-and-forth over this issue made the marriage last for just one month,” Harry explained.

He added that although he financed the entire wedding, his ex-wife provided some support.
“The problem was that they had money and wanted to use it to control me,” he said.
Harry advised young people to take their time and prepare thoroughly before entering marriage.
He emphasised that anyone planning to marry should be ready to take full responsibility for the union.
