David Acheampong, a married man in Accra, has found himself in serious trouble after impregnating his wife’s younger sister, Okyere Sophia.
When contacted for his side of the story, Acheampong admitted to the offense and apologized.
He explained that his frustration stemmed from his wife refusing to sleep with him for three months, which led him to engage in sexual relations with her sister.
“For three months my wife hasn’t slept with me, so it was just a mistake. I apologise and regret my actions. Please, I will go and beg her. Because of the disgrace, I even wanted Sophia to abort the baby. I ask for your help,” Acheampong said.
Speaking on Sompa Nkomo, a programme hosted by media personality Oheneni Adazoa that addresses domestic issues, Okyere Sophia shared her ordeal.

She revealed that Acheampong often made advances toward her and referred to her as his “junior wife.”
“Sometimes he made advances and I told him I didn’t like it. He would say I was his junior wife. Whenever I threatened to tell my sister, he would stop. One day, when my sister was not around, I had just finished bathing and was wrapped in a towel.
“He entered my room without knocking, and we struggled before he slept with me. I threatened to tell my sister, but he gave me money not to do so. Later, two months after, I realized I was pregnant when he took me to the hospital,” she recounted.
Sophia added that Acheampong asked her to abort the pregnancy but she refused.
“I told him I couldn’t abort the pregnancy. I love my sister and don’t want to destroy her marriage, which is why I came here for advice on the next step,” she said.
