Nigerian media owner and businessman Chief Dele Momodu has chided Ghanaians for what he says is the rampant abuse of their President by the citizenry.
According to the outspoken businessman, Ghanaians appear unappreciative regardless of the performances of their leaders.
Speaking on the 'Lounge' with Kwaku Sakyi-Addo Friday, the Ovation magazine publisher said the thriving democracy in Ghana is the envy of the rest of Africa.
“...That’s one more thing I like about Ghana, your democracy is wonderful. You abuse your President anyhow but you don’t disappear and appear.
“When indeed your president has the power to turn a man into a woman...I have had the opportunity to experience other areas so I can appreciate the progress Ghana has made over the years,” he said.
Chief Dele also dismissed claims that he has a special affection for Ghana’s President John Mahama.
“I have always spoken about the progress in Ghana. I started from the Rawlings time, I did same under Kufuor. Just that this time around people are more sensitive, so the least thing, they say you support Mahama”.
Other guests on the show which is held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel included the group chief executive of Databank Kwadwo Addai Mensah and Poetra Asantewa.
