Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hanna Tetteh, is planning to pack out of the country after the elections because electoral defeat is staring her in the face, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, a former Minister of Information under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, has said.

Ms Tetteh is contesting in the December 7 elections as the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary candidate for the Awutu Senya West constituency.

However, Mr Boateng, while campaigning for the NPP candidate for the seat, George Andah, said Ms Tetteh had no good plans for the constituency, and her imminent defeat was clear.

According to him, the minister, upon seeing the inevitable, has started making arrangements to travel outside the country with her family, in order to avoid the embarrassment that will come after her defeat.

He said: “She is just travelling making arrangements to live there after the elections. She is packing her family and everybody away. And so vote of George Andah to win the seat.”
