Birmingham City boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed interest in signing Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah, as he seeks to improve the squad for the season.
Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp began his stint with the Championship side with a win over Bristol City over the weekend.
Birmingham City submitted a bid of 8 million Euros earlier this week but nothing substantial has been agreed on yet.
However, Harry Redknapp won’t give up on the chase for the 25-year-old.
“Another good player, Ghanaian boy, strong, aggressive, good midfield player,” he said about Acquah.
“It would probably be one or the other. You have got to see what you can get – and if you can get them both you have got to make a decision.
“If you can only get one, you take him and if you can’t get any – you just pray. We are trying to get one of them in.”
Afriyie Acquah joined Torino from German club TSG Hoffenheim and has since been an integral part of the Turin based club.
