Bernard Mornah is the Leader of the People’s National Convention (PNC)
The Leader of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, has criticized the General Secretary of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), Dr David Tenkorang-Twum, over his remarks against the Minister of Health.
According to him, the posture and remarks made by Dr Tenkorang-Twum reflect what he describes as 'haughty and seemingly arrogant behavior,' which he believes deserves broad condemnation.

Mornah, while acknowledging that disagreements may arise during engagements among leaders, highlighted the need for respectful dialogue and a dignified approach in such instances.
“… As a proud farmer, I assert that disagreements may arise, but the haughty and seemingly arrogant behavior of Dr David Tenkorang must be swiftly and firmly condemned. We should treat our leaders with dignity,” he said in Facebook post on August 21, 2025.
Mornah expressed his dismay, particularly at individuals who have supported the actions of the GRNMA General Secretary.
He stressed the need to respect every profession, especially farming, which was used to disparage the minister, highlighting the vital role it plays in ensuring the survival of Ghanaians through its food production.
“I am profoundly dismayed by the fervent defense mounted by some Ghanaians in support of the unmistakably derogatory comments made by the General Secretary of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association against our Honorable Minister of Health, Minta Akandoh.
“It is crucial to acknowledge that no profession is subordinate to another. Indeed, farming is the oldest profession, and without farming, no person can survive,” he added.

The politician also condemned the violent attack on nurses at the Ridge Hospital, calling for calm and urging all parties to allow the committee set up to investigate the incident to complete its work and present its findings.
“We should also condemn the reported attack on a Nurse at the Ridge Hospital whilst we anticipate a speedy conclusion of the Committee set up to investigate the disturbance.”
